A Song of Fog and Castles I

A Song of Fog and Castles I

A Song of Fog and Castles I

From my late excursion to Bamburgh last night. Conditions were poor for photography at sunset as low cloud rolled in, but 30 mins after sunset all the fun began. Fog hung in the dunes to the south of the Castle which I managed to capture shooting handheld, but returned to the car to get the tripod in time to catch this shot before the fog cleared.

A magical and exhilarating 15 minutes trying to capture the sight before me.
I posted one shot from this on Google+ last night - https://plus.google.com/111835024921462866899/posts/QQBvUkowCp2
A few more to follow in the future, keep an eye out for them!

It is available from my online store which has had a bit of a clean out, ready for more recent images available to buy as prints or licence commercially.

  1. I so miss fog, we do not get it that often and love how very blue and moody this is especially with the colors of the sunset!

Wow… there are so many things to love about this photo!!.. first off the scale! eesh.. How far back where you? second: the morning or evening fog. It adds such an intersting earie feel to it. and lastly aside from the extremely high amount of detail, the treatment on this image is superb! It's got a great vintage/cool feel to it but it doesn't feel estrange to the frame..    ah and awesome use of composition my friend.   Superbly done!  (CASTLE – YAY!)
