Not surprisingly rain was forecast today, though surprisingly it didn’t appear until early afternoon, just breaking over the Cheviot Hills on my way to an appointment. I stopped off to grab some shots hoping to see Cheviot behind the curtains of rain, but unfortunately by the time I got to a good viewing point it was fully enclosed by the storm.

Wow, that looks evil. Great picture.

Haha, Damn right there +Andy Gray
Nice comp. land and clouds split well.
Powerful shot and contrasts, Andy – really dramatic sky and then the peaceful countryside below.
Sometimes bad weather has it's nice moments, especially at a vista point like that in your image. I love the rain curtain in the back an clear, crisp fields in the front. Not to mention the dramatic sky, which you superbly processed.
Great image, full of drama! Nice one Andy.
What a view! And you don't like this weather?!
